Cycle
The microbial process that lets a tank process ammonia and nitrite.
A cycled tank has enough biological filtration to process a normal waste load from ammonia to nitrite and then nitrate. Cycling matters for axolotls because ammonia and nitrite can harm them quickly. A cycled tank still needs stable temperature, good maintenance and regular testing.
